Nicole Mollett will lead a walking drawing workshop around the town of Sheerness. The tour will explore some of the town's hidden footpaths, back alleyways and the iconic seawall. Participants will be given a series of short drawing exercises inspired by the local high street architecture and maritime industrial heritage.There will be time to share and discuss the drawings created at the end of the workshop. Everyone is welcome, no prior drawing experience is necessary. Materials including paper and pencils will be provided, but feel free to bring your own sketchpad. The walk begin at 2pm and last approximately 2 hours and starts outside the Rose Cottage Museum.

About the artist
Nicole Mollett's practise includes drawing, painting, sculpture, and performance. Nicole is interested in public art and the role culture plays in communities, and what happens when art is created outside of the gallery context. Working as a socially engaged artist on several regeneration projects, she actively promotes a more democratic approach to commissioning work. Her drawings often investigates hidden narratives and myth. Past commissions include a mobile particpatory artwork called the Kent Baton, a digital archive of drawings, animations and texts called 'More than 100 Stories' and a collaborative Graphic Novel set in Luton.
